In 1989, Graeme’s son Jamie joined and made Central Motor Wreckers a family business.

He has benefited from the knowledge the ‘King of Wrecking’ has passed down to him over the years.

Our team of auto part recyclers posses a gifted eye for finding value in written-off vehicles others might overlook.

Jamie says: ‘As a trusted supplier to garages, panel shops and private customers all around Australia we have a large volume of daily sales. The dispatch section is extremely busy with regular daily courier services.’

Hard work was how Central Motor Wreckers began
and hard work is how it’s still going.

‘Nunnie’ started working at what was then Barry James Smash Repairs as a young lad. You could find him over the years at every smash in the district as the most reliable tow truck operator in the business.

In 1965 Graeme (‘Nunnie’) and his wife Glenda Nunn, started Barry James Central Motor Wreckers quickly became a major name in auto salvage in the Ballarat area, with Graeme himself touted as the 'king of wrecking'.

Establishing a 'set 'em up, knock 'em down' style of business, Graeme turned a smash repairer's side business into a trusted name in its own right.
